Takao Mizunuma or known before his death as Issei Himuro, a famous painter who owns the mountain villa where the incident takes place.

Appearance[]

"History"[]

Ten years ago on February 10th, he was one of the few survivors of the plane crash that occurred in Odakayama, Nagano Prefecture. He sells his paintings (after publishing two or three works in the drama version) and lives quietly. To put it bluntly, a suspicious person who covers his face with a mask and sunglasses to hide his burn scars. He hates people, rarely interacts with others, and avoids exposure to magazines, so there are very few people who know his true face. After the incident mentioned above, he seems to have become more misanthropic, leading an almost reclusive life. For some reason, Kano's self-portrait was taken away when he was murdered, and that is the key to unraveling the truth of the incident.

In the anime version, Akechi and Kenmochi, who wandered into Himuro's mountain villa after some trouble, were the first to interact with him.

Akechi owns his painting and is honored to meet him. Perhaps because of that, he is in a good mood and is a little more friendly than the original, and he is willing to explain "Yukiyasha" even to Ichi for the first time. On the other hand, Kindaichi and Kenmochi, in front of him , sarcastically said , "Can you give me your signature? I can't afford to buy my paintings. " was the end of the matter.

The reveal[]

The person disguised as Himuro was Takao Mizunuma (Shozo in the drama) , a make-up attendant who used to work with Hiruma and the others. Himuro was the most similar in stature among the four, so he used his own special makeup skills to disguise himself as Himuro with a wig, sunglasses, a mask, and makeup with burn marks, and sometimes undisguised himself to the city.

When he was surprised, he left the room in the middle, and Akechi suspected him of being the culprit. Also, in the anime, Akechi tried to talk to him about the work, but he didn't want to, so it seems that he was spotted even before the incident happened.

The decisive factor was Issei Himuro's self-portrait. In his self-portrait, he holds his brush in his right hand, and when Himuro appeared at the villa, he also signed with his right hand.

However, in this self-portrait, the shirt that should normally be on the left front is on the right front. That's because this self-portrait was drawn by looking at himself in the mirror. The real Himuro's dominant arm is his left hand, and the mansion Himuro who signed with his right hand is a fake.

After Kano's murder, he broke the camera while wearing a mask and took Himuro's self-portrait away. Because of this, he noticed the nature of Himuro's self-portrait Himuro's true dominant arm, and hurriedly tried to destroy the evidence so that the whole truth wouldn't come out.
