- The threatening letter from Snow Yaksha at the beginning is cut.
- The setting where Miyuki has a cold is cut, and she participates in the location with Hajime. As a result, Miyuki and Reika will meet for the first time in this incident. Along with that, the role of investigating Himuro and sending it by fax was changed to a person from the Metropolitan Police Department, and the person who asked him to do it was also changed to Superintendent Akechi. In addition, a scene where Miyuki and Reika are talking about Kindaichi has been added.
- The scene where Kanou threatens Reika and the scene where Reika responds to that are cut.
- In the original, Kano pretended not to notice Kindaichi spitting blood at the beginning, but in the anime version, he clearly notices it and is slightly offended. After that, for some reason, Kindaichi is complained by Hiruta and others.
- Akashi doesn't speak the Kansai dialect, he speaks in standard Japanese.
- The depiction of Akashi setting up a spy camera on the women is cut.
- Akashi is supposed to have been killed between arriving at the main building and threatening Kano.

- In the original work, even Hajime was aware of Himuro's true identity, but in the anime, he was completely unaware until superintendent Akechi revealed it. (Regarding this, Hajime honestly admits defeat to Akechi, who was the first to realize Himuro's true identity.)
